摘要A nanocrystalline Cu30Al70 alloy with average grain size of about 12 nm was produced by mechanically milling the vacuum induction melted Cu30Al70 alloy. The weight ratios of ball to sample and the milling time have a significant effect on the grain size of the Cu30Al70 alloy. The catalytic activity of the ball milled Cu30Al70 alloy is much higher than that of both the vacuum induction melted Cu30Al70 alloy and the rapidly quenched Cu30Al70 alloy in hydrogenation of xylose. The catalytic activity of the rapidly quenched Cu30Al70 alloy is also higher than that of the vacuum induction melted Cu30Al70 alloy. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
