摘要 | The effect of Cu addition on the microstructure and mechanical properties of as-cast Ta60Ti(40-x)Cux alloys (x = 0.5, 1, 1.5 wt%) was investigated. The results indicate that the microstructure of Ta60Ti(40-x)Cu alloys consists of metastable R, needle-like and nanoscale orthorhombic martensite alpha" phases. The addition of Cu, R-Ti stabilizing element, reduces the grain size and induces the formation of the o ath phase in the 1.5Cu alloy. Cu addition increases the yield strength and hardness and provides excellent antibacterial property, but it also significantly reduces the elongation of the alloy, which may be due to the segregation of Cu at grain boundaries and the presence of brittle o ath phase. The 0.5Cu alloy exhibits an optimal combination of mechanical properties and antibacterial performances, making it a promising candidate for biomedical applications. |
