In this dissertation, the influences of Cl~- on anodic and cathodic processes of electrochemical corrosion of iron in dilute and concentrated acid have been studied respectively and the influences of thiourea and its derivates on corrosion behaviour of iron in 2.0mol.L~(-1)H_2SO_4 and 4.0mol.L~(-1)HCl solutions have been measured respectively with potentiodynamic method. The dynamic mechanisms of either Cl~- or thiourea on both of the electrode processes of iron have been discussed. The analytical method for the ratio of inhibition occured in single electrode process to both cathodic and anodic processes has been proposed. The effects of functional group in thiourea and its derivates on both cathodic and anodic processes have compared, and the reasons of different effcts of theses groups have explained with quantum chemistry theory.
